The University of Michigan community,
Desiring the Spring 2008 Commencement Ceremony be held on the University of Michigan Campus,
Deeply regretting that the current ceremony is scheduled to be held off campus,
Expressing its appreciation for the Eastern Michigan University by inviting us to sharing their campus,
Conscious of the obstacles presented by renovation construction currently underway at Michigan Stadium,
Pleased with the administration's current effort to accommodate student input and move expediently to work out a solution to the problem.
Bearing in mind the importance of student input as factor in the administration’s final decision for graduation arrangements
1) Calls upon all concerned parties to join in the Maize Out March on Tuesday, January 29 at Noon;
2) Expresses its hope for a compromise that will bring graduation ceremonies back to the University of Michigan’s Ann Arbor Campus;
3) Strongly Condemns the creation of luxury boxes in Michigan Stadium, and the further disenfranchisement of persons with disabilities from equal access to the stadium;
4) Further recommends for the University’s renovations of Michigan Stadium to fully comply with the Americans With Disabilities Act of 1990.
